Didn't have the fresh flavor that some other Douwe Egberts ground coffee that I have had in the past. It was within the freshness date but didn't meet my expectations.

This coffee is not for brewing machines that produce a horrible bitter liquid which is called 'coffee' only in America :-) Works great with small 1-2-cup size French presses or pump-driven espresso makers. I mix Excellent Aroma with Intense Dark 2 to 1, use a full scoop for one 6-ounce cup and my day starts with a delicious boost and sunshine. What happened to Mocha packages?

After having a most delicious and aromatic coffee at a country club, I found they use Douwe Egbert. I had to have it and bought the same. Unfortunately, whether it's my equiptment (Keurig) or the coffee I received, it was rather ordinary and nowhere near the aroma or taste that I had experienced. So I rate it as merely "OK".
