There are about three choices out there for using your own coffee for your Senseo coffee maker but all have failed me till this product. A little pricy but I am through buying pods. I get black rich foaming coffee that I have grown to love.

I've been using the Perfect Pod Maker for my Senseo coffee maker for quite a while now and I'm on my fourth 'set' order. The Perfect pod maker has made using my own favorite coffee convenient and cheaper. I can load the pods as I see fit and can adjust the grind of the coffee to suit my needs. The Pod Maker and the pods are fun for me to fill, usually when I'm watching something on TV or listening to podcasts on my computer. Be advised though. These pod filters are generally used only for double load or "mug" size servings. I fill them to the top for this reason. I have not tried single serving loads with the filters. Seems a waste otherwise. I have observed 40 pods generally uses just under a pound of fresh ground coffee. I use #3-#4 setting on grinders at vending locations. Any finer (espresso grind) seems to make the coffee weak. I suppose this is due to the extra filtering needed for the finer grind stopping water flow. If you find you don't know how to store these pods, there is a metal tower Senseo Embossed Tin Canister you can purchase or you can do like I did and get one of those angled penny or candy jars with a lid that's large enough to put a hand in. I got one at Bed Bath and beyond for under $10. This product did not include any information about the separate component you need in order for them to work. The Pods did not come with any instructions. How were we supposed to know you need to buy a unit to seal these!
